On October 31, 2013 Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mr. Victor Mayko paid a visit to Hungary to participate in the ministerial meeting of the Central European Initiative (CEI) in Gödöllő.
In his speech at the meeting V.Mayko underlined the role of the CEI in the European integration of its member states, confirmed Ukraine’s support of the CEI Action Plan for 2014-2016. Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine also expressed confidence that the EU Foreign Affairs Council will make a positive decision on the signing and provisional application of the Ukraine - EU Association Agreement.
Within his stay in Hungary Mr. Mayko also met with the Parliamentary State Secretary of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Mr. Zsolt Németh. During the meeting the sides discussed key issues of bilateral cooperation as well as interaction between the two countries within the framework of international and regional organizations. Hungarian side confirmed its support of the European aspirations of Ukraine as well as the conclusion of the Ukraine - EU Association Agreement in Vilnius at the end of November, 2013.
