On October 1-2, 2013 the 6^th meeting of the Ukrainian-Hungarian working group on agriculture was held in Budapest. During the meeting the parties discussed cooperation in the sphere of land resources, veterinary medicine, quarantine, seed protection and plant selection. Within the meeting the Memorandum of Understanding between the State Agency of Land Resources of Ukraine and the Ministry of Rural Development of Hungary on Cooperation in the Field of Land Relations and Rural Development was signed.

The parties confirmed their mutual interest in further cooperation, which will be significantly boosted after the conclusion of the Ukraine – EU Association Agreement. In this context the co-chairperson of the working group, State Secretary for Regional Development of the Ministry of Rural Development of Hungary Mr. Zsolt Németh confirmed Hungary’s support of the European aspirations of Ukraine and its willingness to will do its best to promote the signing of the mentioned Agreement.
