On July 18, 2016 Ambassador of Ukraine Liubov Nepop met with Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary Sándor Lezsák.
During the meeting the sides discussed current issues of inter-parliamentary component of the Ukrainian-Hungarian cooperation. The sides positively evaluated the revitalization of bilateral interaction at the level of parliamentary committees, in particular the committees for foreign affairs and European integration, protection of national minorities, as well as at the level of inter-parliamentary friendship group Ukraine - Hungary.
Deputy Speaker informed Ambassador about the initiatives of the Lakitelek Fund regarding the teaching of Ukrainian language to Hungarian youth, as well as the organization of a forum for literary translators within the framework of the Lakitelek People's Institute with the participation of the representatives of Ukraine.
Sándor Lezsák also stressed the importance of public diplomacy in the development of bilateral relations. Ambassador Nepop, in her turn, noted that this area is an essential part of and an important precondition for the strengthening of the bilateral political dialogue.
