On May 15-16, 2013, with the assistance of the Embassy of Ukraine to Hungary, the rector of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University Mr. Ihor Tsependa paid a visit to Hungary.

Rector Tsependa held talks with the representatives of the State Secretariat for Education of the Ministry for Human Resources of Hungary, rectors of Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) and Budapest Economic School, leadership and lectors of ELTE’s Ukrainian philology chair as well as with the head of the Self-Government of the Hungarian Ukrainians and the Ukrainian Culture Society in Hungary Mrs. Yaroslava Hortyani.    

During the talks the sides discussed ways to further improve the Ukrainian-Hungarian cooperation in the spheres of education and science, enhance direct contacts between the universities of the two countries and establish student exchange programs as well as the possibilities for the participation of the Ukrainian minority of Hungary in the Ukrainian language contests organized by the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.
