The Embassy of Ukraine to Hungary held a number of events in celebration of water christening and Ukrainian Unity and Freedom Day
On 19 January 2013 the Embassy of Ukraine to Hungary together with the Ujpest city self-government and Society of Ukrainian culture in Hungary held a number of events in celebration of water christening and Ukrainian Unity and Freedom Day.
At the beginning of the event the Ambassador of Ukraine to Hungary Yurii Mushka referred the greetings of Minister for foreign affairs of Ukraine on the occasion of Unity and Freedom Day to the guests and spoke about the history of events of January 1919.
The Head of self-government of Ukrainians in Hungary Yaroslava Hortyani called for spiritual reconciliation of Ukrainians in the world and, on behalf of Ukrainian World Congress, noted the readiness of Ukrainian foreign communities to support Ukrainian eurointegrational aspirations.
The event continued with the liturgy held by priest of Kyiv Patriarchy Ukrainian orthodox church as well as with the festive concert performed by national choir of M.Dragomanov National pedagogical University.
