On 24 November 2012 the Embassy of Ukraine to Hungary together with the self-government of Hungarian Ukrainians and Society of Ukrainian culture in Hungary held a number of events in commemoration of victims of Holodomor 1932-1933 in Ukraine.

Employees of the Embassy of Ukraine to Hungary with their families, representatives of self-government of Hungarian Ukrainians and other regions of Budapest, Varpolota, Vac, Komarom, Sekesvehervar, Miskolc, representatives of Hungarian political parties and NGOs, media, the Ambassador of Albania to Hungary and other members of diplomatic corps accredited in Hungary as well as members of Allhungarian competition of declamation in Ukrainian language “Dzherelo” took part in these events.

Laying wreaths to the memorial of victims of Holodomor in Budapest took place as well as to the memorial plaque in Csömör city.
