On the occasion of the 69^th anniversary of victory in World War II the Ambassador of Ukraine to Hungary Mr. Yurii Mushka and the Ukrainian Defence Attaché Mr. Andrii Drozd held a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the memorial to Soviet soldiers at the Military cemetery in Kecskemét.

After the ceremony Ambassador and Defence Attaché laid flowers at the grave of the honorary citizen of Simferopol, war veteran Colonel Gyula Katona, who made a significant contribution to the commemoration of the Soviet soldiers as well as to the development of cooperation between sister - towns Simferopol and Kecskemét.

At the end of its visit to Kecskemét the Ukrainian delegation held negotiations with the town’s leadership.
